Maren and I are starting to find our creative juice again. Trying so hard to get Vi on a 1 long nap per day schedule so we can carve out some time to do more reading, writing, creating and playing.
Today I busted out the Mod Podge. Did you know it’s not called “Modge Podge?” Because I’ve been calling it that for a long time and I’m now slightly paranoid that people were laughing at me behind my back for being such a craft ignoramus.
My head hurts so I need to go to bed. Enjoy her decoupage vase she made today. Flowers provided by our friend Tom.
*The “vase” is just a tall smooth bar glass. We used about 2-3 layers of tissue paper. She did the ripping, good for the fine motor skills. She actually had a hard time with it, which is so Maren. I don’t think she’s ever really destroyed anything purposefully in her whole life. Finished it off with a final coat of MP (gloss/lustre.) It also looks cool with a tea light inside, just make sure you don’t fold the tissue paper over the inside of the rim or you’ll be doing a Fire Drill. These would make cute gifts for Grandma’s– think Christmas!

Too funny, my grandma and dad ALWAYS called it Modge Podge, I thought we were the only ones. I love this idea, I may use it for Christmas gifts. Thanks.

That is too cute! I could totally see Shelby gettting into that. We may have to consider making some.

Ah I see you/we are not alone. I finally read the dang bottle a just a couple years ago and realized it isn’t Modge Podge. hee hee
I LOVE how the vase looks like fused glass, very sophisticated.

Oh! You are on to something! You should do a whole list of wrong names. Like eXpresso. I think the hairs on my neck just stood up even typing that!
Your little girl is sooo aorable, such sweet curls!
